Strawberry Salad

2 (3 oz.) pkgs. strawberry Jell-O
2 cups fresh strawberries, rinsed and trimmed,
-OR- 1 lb. frozen strawberries, thawed & drained
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
8 oz. Dean sour cream, stirred smooth
2 cups boiling water
3 bananas, mashed
Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water, stirring. Remove from heat and let cool. Add strawberries, bananas and pineapple. Pour half of mixture (about 2 cups) into 9 X 9” dish and chill until congealed (approx. 2 hours). Remove chilled mixture from refrigerator and carefully spread Dean sour cream over top. Cover Dean sour cream layer with remaining half of strawberry mixture. Chill until firm. Cut into squares to serve.
This recipe uses Dean Cultured Sour Cream.
