Berry Treat

A simple elegant dessert.
1/3 cup orange juice or orange-flavored liqueur
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1 quart fresh strawberries or raspberries, halved, or two 10-ounce packages frozen berries, thawed and drained
1/2 cups (4 ounces) thawed whipped topping
1 cup Dean Sour Cream
Mix juice, sugar and peel in a large bowl. Add berries; toss lightly and cover. Refrigerate at least 2 hours, for flavors to blend.
Place 1 cup of the berry mixture in electric blender and cover. Blend until pureed. Pour into a bowl and using a wire whisk, mix pureed berries, whipped topping and Dean sour cream until well blended.
Place remaining berry mixture into 6 dessert dishes and top with pureed berry mixture. Serves 4-6.
This recipe uses Dean Cultured Sour Cream.
